If you’re a programmer who can work from home all the time, wouldn’t you want to find ways to make your job easier and more efficient?
That’s what a man in the US did when he hired a Chinese subcontractor to perform his job. Apparently a fifth of the man’s salary was enough to pay for an entire team in China to do his job. The man spent the time browsing cat videos, and on sites like eBay and Facebook.
Eventually his company caught on to his scheme and after investigating what he did, they were none too pleased, and fired him. He had apparently also outsourced other jobs and made thousands of dollars in profit. What do you think? Is he the epitome of laziness or brilliance?
