Indian Girl Committed Suicide over Fear of End of the World

Sixteen-year-old Chaya poisoned herself at her home in the central city of Indore, her father, Bihari Lal.
Her father said she had been worried the "world would end".

Chhaya, who hailed from Madhya Pradesh, consumed tablets of sulphos, an insecticide, to expedite what she assumed to be her inevitable death.

She was eventually taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
